We send the photo of the ship.")

After a couple years being laid up at Molo San Vincenzo in Naples, the ship has been moved to a maintenance facility.   A contractor working for the community of Procida is preparing the Bannock to be made into a floating museum of the sea.  Photo and information provided by Bryan Pruett
Former USS Bannock (ATF 81)   A gorgeous photo of Naples Harbor circa 2006.  At the right edge of the photo is the former USS Bannock, showing her port side profile (about two ships from the bottom). Contributor Bryan Pruett says his grandfather was Sam Morgan, the first C.O. of the Bannock.  Bryan is in Italy periodically on business and has been giving some minimal assistance to the Island of Procida to help them gain the funding required to turn the ship into a floating museum.
